We Are Artists

Standing on this stage
with a light,
shining down on our face--
feeling, expressing,
bearing our souls in every breath
and in every word, we utter in song.

For our doo-wop is spiritual;
the message we bring is lyrical.
It is honest, POWERFUL--
a universal language that is able
to touch, penetrate,
even allow light-speed travel
to times, places,
moments and memories
once experienced,
or for the first time ever
are only now being explored.

We are Artists,
and music is OUR medium.
We are Artists.
It is what keeps US breathing.
